GAEC André Methane produces Morbier cheese from the milk of 110 dairy cows, for 720,000 litres milk/year. The manure and slurry (i.e. 2,500 T of manure and 3,000 T of slurry/year) were previously directly spread on suitable parcels of the farm, which has 300 ha, including 110 ha of grain (independent of straw).
Forecasts: 1,530 MWh of electricity generated and sold/year - 1,683 MWh of heat produced/year - Recovery rate = 68% - 352 Teq CO2 avoided per year
